With more than seven years of experience in community health, Laura implements sexual health programming and partners with Emory students to deliver other health education programming. Before joining Campus Life, Laura coordinated the Georgia College Prevention Program, delivering opioid and prescription drug misuse education for students across Georgia. Earlier, she served with the Gwinnett County Health Department as their lead HIV health educator and, before that, as youth services coordinator at Thrive Alabama, providing STI and HIV education and testing for youth.
A certified health education specialist, Laura earned a bachelor’s in psychology at the University of Alabama, Huntsville, and a master’s in health education and promotion at Walden University.
