Brandi joined Emory’s Office of Health Promotion in 2017. Her 15 years of professional experience public health spans a variety of settings including higher education, government and community-based organization. While working at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, she was able to get a better understanding of the up-stream efforts to and funding processes for public health interventions. When she transitioned into higher education, she worked to create programs and initiatives that targeted a specific population to create a culture where young adults could work toward more positive health and wellness outcomes. With a passion for educating others and a knack for planning, Brandi seeks to empower others to reach their full potential through her work. Brandi received her MPH in Behavioral Science and Health Education from St. Louis University and her BS in Biology from Central Missouri State University.  

Willie provides counseling on alcohol and other drug abuse prevention, and educates the Emory community help people make lower risk choices if and when they choose to drink. Willie also works with those who are interested in quitting smoking or are concerned about prescription drug misuse.  Individual meetings are confidential.

As the Health Educator for well-being in the Office of Health Promotion, Elaine's job is to support student’s health and well-being for success at Emory and beyond. She primarily focuses in healthy sexuality/sexual health and mental well-being. She supports programs such as HIV Testing, free safer sex supplies, PrEP, our Moments of Mindfulness series, and programs as requested for groups or residence halls (especially if you are discussing sexual health education). If you want to talk about any aspect of your health and well-being, Elaine has a background in health coaching and would be happy to help. She also emphasizes OHP's commitment to health as a social justice issue so if you have any health related initiatives, bring them to us. She is an Emory alumna (16C) and has her MA in Higher Education Administration from Boston College.

Elizabeth joins the Office of Health Promotion from Ball State University where she served as the Health Educator and as an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Nutrition and Health Science. She has over seven years of experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating health promotion and education programs in higher education. Elizabeth received her Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior from the University of South Carolina and her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cell/Molecular Biology with minors in Art History and Chemistry from Appalachian State University.

Kiana is our Health Promotion Programming Graduate Assistant. She is also pursuing an MPH in the Behavioral Sciences and Health Education department at Rollins School of Public Health. Before coming to Emory, Kiana worked as a Project Manager for the Libra Group in Washington, D.C., a Feild Educator for Families First for Mississippi, and, most recently, as the Assistant Director of Residential Life for the LEDA Scholars Summer Institute hosted at Princeton University. Additionally, she is a Gates Millennium Scholar who graduated with a degree in psychology from Barnard College in New York City in 2017. The culmination of all her experiences has made her passionate about promoting mental well-being across all populations.

Marisa graduated from Northwestern University in 2018 with a B.A. in Gender & Sexuality Studies and minors in Global Health and Spanish. She is currently a first-year student at the Rollins School of Public Health working towards an MPH in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education. With experience facilitating sexuality education programming for youth and nutrition education initiatives and a food pantry program for a low-income community in Chicago, Marisa is passionate about approaching health promotion from a harm-reduction perspective. At OHP, Marisa focuses on Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug health promotion programing.

Arbre'ya graduated from Duke University in 2018 with an individualized major titled "Visualizing Medicine: The Role of the Media in Health Communication." She is currently a first year masters student at Emory's Rollins School of Public Health in the Behavior Science and Health Education department. At OHP she is responsible for supporting the 5 goals and initiatives of the office and creating and disseminating information through OHPs multiple platforms.

Virginia Chambers is a first-year student from Copperhill, Tennessee. She plans to major in Psychology, with an interest in mental health. As part of the undergraduate student staff, Virginia provides support for OHP staff, programs, and initiatives that focus on behavior change and harm reduction in key focus areas.
